Pat Reynolds - Director of Children’s Services

Thank you very much indeed for a splendid event at the Royal Albert Hall last night. I thought that the programme was really well balanced and that the performances of the children and young people were great. I really enjoyed it.

Chris Hilliard - Chief Standards, Achievement and Inclusion Officer

I would like to express my appreciation for all your hard work and that of your colleagues in producing such a superb Choral Festival at the Royal Albert Hall. It was a stunning success. To see so many children and young people from so many schools supported by their staff and working together the Music Service created an uplifting and inspiring evening. I think we have stewardship of such events and I know that colleagues are most grateful to Pat Reynolds for her loyal support over the last eleven years and to Iain Varah for his enthusiasm for the excellent service which shortly comes over from the London Borough of Redbridge to Vision.

Gareth Morley - Head of Culture & Libraries - Vision - Redbridge Culture & Leisure

Just a quick note to say we all thoroughly enjoyed last night’s performance. I heard very positive comments all round from the audience. The skill, dedication, enthusiasm and expertise of RMS staff and students was evident throughout! Looking forward to hearing about 2018 now!!

Manvinder Rattan - Musical Director, Partnership Music - John Lewis Partnership

Many congratulations on what was a tremendous performance last night. Both the quality and engagement of performance brought a smile to our faces (and for me, a moment of nostalgia as I remembered my own participation in this festival back in, ahem, can't remember...) It was impeccably programmed and well-delivered and the amount of organisation that went into it was remarkable. You must all be feeling over the moon this morning if a touch weary - I wish you all and all the RMS team a restful Easter holiday once you get there.

DI Stuart Cheek - SC&O17: Sexual Offences, Exploitation & Child Abuse Command, London Boroughs of Redbridge and Waltham Forest

Just wanted to send you a short email having attended the Redbridge Choral Festival at the Royal Albert Hall yesterday. I attended as my 8 year old daughter Lucy attends John Bramston Primary School. I wanted to tell you how impressed I was with the show, the staging was excellent and at the end of the night I had one very tired but very happy little girl who had an experience that she will always remember. The hard work that must have gone into arranging it is just unimaginable and credit should definitely be given to all those from the Redbridge Music Service who did an amazing job. For an event like this to still be going strong after 40 years (my wife actually took part in 3 of them when at school!!!) and to survive the current cuts and austerity measures is a testament to all who arranged this and the Borough for supporting it.

Suzanne Harding

Just a note to thank you for your hard work with the Choral Festival. My daughter was singing at the Albert Hall yesterday evening and it was a wonderful surprise to see a former classmate conducting and very much an inspiration to my daughter to keep on with her music tuition. I am just sorry that when the 13 year old Bradley Winand was asked to play a piece he had written himself to Mr Timms music class I was just too young and stupid to take time to actually listen. :-)
